Take a first look at Aardman's 2019 feature, "Shaun The Sheep Movie: Farmageddon."
Here's a first look at Aardman Animations' next stop motion film: Shaun The Sheep Movie: Farmageddon.
The first feature-length adaptation of the popular tv character, the Oscar-nominated Shaun the Sheep Movie (2015), was a solid performer, grossing $106.2 million worldwide. Less than $20 million of that total came from the U.S., but Aardman films perform so well in other territories, that the U.S. often isn't essential to the financing of the studio's projects.
Farmageddon has an extraterrestrial set-up:
Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon is directed by Richard Phelan and Will Becher, written by Jon Brown and Mark Burton, produced by Paul Kewley, and executive produced by Mark Burton, Richard Starzak, Peter Lord, Nick Park. and David Sproxton.
Studiocanal, which is co-financing the film, will distribute in the U.K., France, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand in fall 2019. U.S. distribution is being handled by Lionsgate, which has not set a domestic release date yet.
