"Dumbo" Trailer: Disney releases the first teaser of Tim Burton's hybrid remake

At just 64 minutes, Disney's 1941 effort Dumbo is considered by many animation aficionados to be one of the studio's most perfectly constructed and charming animated features.

Disney's live-action/cg remake, directed by Tim Burton, may not have the condensed running time or easy appeal of the original, but judging by its teaser, it attempts to make up for it with plenty of spectacle. The studio released the first teaser for the film this morning:

The remake also promises to have lots of extra plot points to pad out its extended running time:

The vfx shops handling the title character are MPC, Framestore, and Rodeo FX, under production vfx supervisor Richard Stammers.

Disney will release Dumbo in U.S. theaters on March 29, 2019.
