Winners of the 2017 British Academy Children's Awards were announced on Sunday evening in London. The awards have been presented annually since 1996 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
The animation award went to to the production team of the animated special Revolting Rhymes. The project was nominated alongside The Amazing World of Gumball, Shaun the Sheep, and We're Going on a Bear Hunt.
On the feature side, The Little Prince won the prize, beating out Kubo and the Two Strings, Moana, and Sing. (Kubo and The Two Strings won the award for best animated feature at the BAFTA Film Awards earlier this year.)

Other notables: Blue Zoo Animation Studio was recognized as the best independent production company of the year, and Studio AKA's Hey Duggee picked up a couple honors for preschool animation and interactive project.
