Season 2 of Comedy Central's "TripTank" begins Sept. 25
Comedy Central and Shadow Machine's vulgar animated short variety series TripTank is returning to television with a new season.
Airing Friday, September 25 at midnight on both coasts of the U.S., Comedy Central announced that TripTank's 10-episode second season promises "a bit more artistic scope" through "a variety of animation styles," including hand-drawn, stop-motion, and CGI It promises to showcase.
Shadow Machine founders Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico are executive producers, and their production company is making its first foray into feature films with the profane stop-motion feature "Hell & Back."
One of the show's main gimmicks is to add as much variety to the voice acting as to the artwork. In the second season, Margaret Cho, Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key of Key & Peele, Jon Hamm of Mad Men, Tom Lennon and Niecy Nash of Reno 911, Kristen Johnston of 3rd Rock from the Sun, as well as Cheryl Hines, Kevin Dillon, David Hasselhoff, Ne-Yo, Paul Reiser, Amy Schumer, and Brittany Snow will provide the voices.
TripTank episodes will be available on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, Xbox Video, Vudu, and Verizon Flexview the day after broadcast, as well as signed in via cable or satellite providers. They are also available on the Comedy Central app available to fans.
