Glen Keane's "Lux: Binding Light" for League of Legends
Glen Keane has been busy lately. [In addition to his new short "Dear Basketball," which premiered at Tribeca last month, Keane has a new piece for Riot Games' game "League of Legends," focusing on the character "Lux the Lady of Luminosity."

Keane's work is part of a new series of animation pieces called the League Animation Workshop, which Riot describes as "an exploration of diverse styles, new techniques of Riot describes it as "an exploration of diverse styles, experimentation with new techniques, and a commitment to the development of the art form itself.

In Lux's work, Keane employs a rough animation style that he has used in more recent projects such as "Dear Basketball" and the Google short "Duet," but the animation is rougher and more unfinished than in those earlier projects The animation is The lack of polish may be confusing to gamers accustomed to polished production values, but animation fans will have a bit of fun seeing Keane's work at this stage.
