Studio Ghibli Fest begins today across the United States

Studio Ghibli Fest 2017, a six-film, monthly series of films directed by Hayao Miyazaki, launches today with the iconic 1988 film, My Neighbor Totoro.

Presented in partnership between GKIDS and Fathom Events, one of Miyazaki's films will be screened in over 550 U.S. theaters on one Sunday and one Monday each month. All Sunday presentations will be dubbed and shown at 12:55pm local time, while Monday showings will be subtitled and shown at 7pm local time.

As part of each screening, GKIDS will also present GKIDS Minifest, a series of animated shorts from around the globe.
