"Big Hero 6" became the highest-earning animated photo of 2014
“How to Train Your Dragon 2” (left) has been replaced by “Big Hero 6” as the highest-grossing animated feature of 2014.
For those keeping track of box office records, Disney announced this afternoon that Big Hero 6 has now earned over $620 million globally, which makes it the highest-grossing animated feature of 2014.
Big Hero 6, a film about a spiky-haired teen who rides his best friend and fights villains, surpassed the previous 2014 record-holder, DreamWorks Animation's How to Train Your Dragon 2, a film about a spiky-haired teen who rides his best friend and fights villains. Dragon had earned $618.9 million globally. (Records are kept based on the year in which a film was released in the United States.)
