The new Cinema 4D release focuses on the character animation toolset

When animators think of cg software packages for character animation, Cinema 4D isn't always the first one that comes to mind, but Maxon is trying to change that perception with the latest version of the software, Cinema 4D Release 23 (R23).

The company is specifically touting the improvements to its character animation toolset, with Maxon CEO Dave McGavran saying in a statement that the new edition “delivers robust advancements to the animation workflows.”

The software is available in both a subscription model with monthly fees starting at USD$60 or a one-time purchase fee of $3,495.
