Steve Urkel is revived for the animated holiday movie

Warner Bros. Animation has announced the new animated musical film Did I Do That to the Holidays- A Steve Urkel Story, which will mark the return of the star character from the Nineties sitcom Family Matters. The film will air later this year as part of ACME Night, a newly-announced Sunday evening programming block on Cartoon Network (and starting in 2022, HBO Max).

Did I Do That to the Holidays- is the first announced project from Wyatt Cenac as part of the exclusive, multiyear cross-studio overall deal he recently signed with Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios. Cenac wrote the special and executive produces, while Jaleel White serves as producer and will reprise his iconic performance by voicing Steve Urkel.

Bryan Newton (director, Rick and Morty, Teen Titans Go!) is supervising director on the special at Warner Bros. Animation.

Here is the synopsis from the studio:

Other new feature announcements for the ACME Night line-up are Merry Little Batman and an untitled Looney Tunes Cartoons movie, while previously announced animation specials and features joining ACME Night are Aquaman: King of Atlantis, Batman: Caped Crusader, Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, and Unicorn: Warriors Eternal.
