The 75th Emmy Awards were moved to 1/15.

The Television Academy and Fox have announced that the 75th Emmy Awards will be pushed to Monday 2024/1/15.

The Academy also announced that the Creative Arts Emmy Awards will move on Saturday, 1 May 6, and Sunday, 1 May 7, originally scheduled for 9 May

There have been moves on the cards since the wga and SAG-AFTRA strikes began. Starless emmys are a disastrous proposition, and it's clear that these types of rituals will be delayed until the actors can promote their work again. According to early reports, the Academy believed the awards could be held on May 11, while Fox believed May 1 was a more realistic goal. Now that negotiations have stopped, Fox's plan has proved better.

The Emmy Awards came to be held in the midst of a crowded winter awards season. The Golden Globe Awards are scheduled for 1/7 and this will overlap with the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. That said, things could definitely change again, as the Globe still doesn't have a broadcast partner and no one knows when the strike will end.

Moving Emmys to 1 month creates another timeline issue. This award is intended to recognize works aired between 2022/6/1 and 2023/5/31. There could be a 19-month gap between the broadcast date of the production and the ceremony. It is also worth noting that some shows may compete with the season at the Emmy Awards and the season at the Golden Globes, even though they may take place before the Emmy Awards.
