First Look: "Mob Psycho 100" teaser video by "One Punch Man" creators

Japanese animation studio Bones released a teaser yesterday for "Mob Psycho 100," a series adaptation of Japanese independent artist One's manga.

Last fall, Madhouse's adaptation of another One manga, "One Punch Man," debuted to enthusiastic reviews, but the show owed much of its style to manga artist Yusuke Murata, who produced a remake of One's original manga. Mob Psycho 100, on the other hand, drew inspiration from One's energetic and deliberately primitive art style. While the overall design is clearly streamlined for production purposes, the teaser suggests that those looking for a more graphically adventurous anime might want to turn to the series, which debuts later this year. [Directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa ("Death Parade"), script by Koji Seko ("Ajin"), character design by Yoshimichi Kameda ("One Punch Man"), sound director Kazuhiro Wakabayashi ("Eureka Seven," "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex," "Soul Eater"), music by Patlabor"), and music by Kenji Kawai of "Ghost in the Shell," "Hanamayu," and "Patlabor.
