Finale of "Phineas & Ferb" Series Announced; Disney Looks to Creators for New Series

A new animated series from the creators of Disney's hit series "Phineas and Ferb" has launched, and Disney has set an air date for the "Phineas and Ferb" series finale.
Disney XD has greenlit "Mikey Murphy's Law" by Dan Povenmaier and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, which will premiere in 2017. Phineas and Ferb producer and director Robert F. Hughes, screenwriters Joshua Pruett, Dani Vetere, and Martin Olson, and story editor Scott Peterson will also work on the series, which will feature Murphy's Law, the famous The series will revolve around the character of Mikey Murphy, a fictional distant descendant of Murphy.
Over a year ago, Cartoon Brew reported that production on "Phineas and Ferb" was finished, but there were still unreleased episodes. Today, Disney announced that the series finale, titled "The Last Days of Summer," will air on June 12. Another standalone episode, the one-hour "The O.W.C.A. Files," will premiere in the fall and will feature a song performed by "Footloose" soft rocker Kenny Loggins.
