Nexus VR's short story "Rain or Shine" is the latest Google Spotlight story.
"Rain or Shine," a vr short film produced by Nexus, was released as part of the Google Spotlight Stories series.
The immersive, interactive experience designed for mobile devices was directed by Nexus' Felix Massie ("In The Air Is Christopher Gray"), who loves the outdoors but always sees rain and clouds when she wears sunglasses The film follows the story of a young girl.
Rendered in real time, the short touts Spotlight Stories' "new level of interactivity," with its "eye-based interaction" that subtly changes the story depending on how the viewer watches. Viewers can enjoy Rain or Shine as a 360-degree YouTube video, which can be enjoyed interactively on the Android Youtube app or the Google Spotlight Stories app on iOS. (The short film is also available on the Youtube Kids app, available for both iOS and Android.)
