'The Simpsons' Wins 37th Primetime Emmy Award for "Treehouse Of Horror XXXIII"

The winners of the 75th Creative Arts Emmy Awards were announced over the weekend, with the major animation and VFX categories spread over the two-night event.

The 2023 Emmy Awards were originally scheduled to take place last September, but a double strike of writers and actors forced a postponement until this month. [Also, character layout artist Nik Ranieri received the Individual Achievement Award in the animation category for his work on the show. The Simpsons has now won 37 Primetime Emmy Awards from 100 nominations.

Maya Rudolph won her third Outstanding Character Voice Actor award for her portrayal of Connie the Hormone Monstress in Netflix's "Big Mouth."

Max's The Last of Us won an Emmy for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Season or Movie. The show has received awards from DNEG, W? FX, Distillery VFX, Zero VFX, Important Looking Pirates, beloFX, Storm Studios, Wylie Co, Framestore, Digital Domain, MAS, and others.

The Five Days at Memorial episode "Day Two" on Apple TV+ was honored as the show with the best visual effects in a single episode. The show was produced by ABC Signature in collaboration with Apple, and the main VFX vendors were Stormborn, El Ranchito, and UPP.

The winners of the individual jury awards for this year's Animation Awards were first announced in June.
