Trailer for "The Hasbin Hotel" Proves American Adult Anime is Not Just Vulgar

Prime Video has released the official trailer for Season 1 of Vivian Medrano's animated musical series "The Hasbin Hotel."

Prime Video will release four episodes of the series on January 19, followed by two episodes each week for two weeks.

It is too early to make any major assumptions about the show, but the trailers seem to buck the recent trend of vulgarity for vulgarity's sake found in American animated adult comedy series. The characters in "The Husbin Hotel" feel fleshed out and subversive, the jokes are well executed, the animation looks fresh, and the songs by Broadway stars add an exciting dimension to the production.
