Disney+ and Marvel Animation have released the trailer for "X-Men '97," the reboot of the iconic comic-based series "X-Men: The Animated Series," which will begin distribution on March 20. [This 10-episode series picks up where the previous series left off and follows a world where mutants use their supernatural powers to protect the humans who fear and often despise them.

Rumors began to emerge in 2019 that the creators of the original show were attempting to reboot the show, with "X-Men '97" being announced by Disney+ in late 2021, with a planned release date of 2023.

Bo Demayo, known for "The Witcher," will serve as the show's head writer, and episodes will be directed by Jake Castrena ("The Wrath of Superhumans"), Chase Conley ("Keepo and the Age of Mysterious Monsters") and Emi Yonemura ("Gen: Lock"). Executive producers are Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Luis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and DeMayo; music for "X-MEN '97" will be by the Newton Brothers, who seem to have made the wise decision to stick with the legendary theme music of the original show. The new voice cast includes Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, JP Kerliak as Morph, AJ Locascio as Gambit, Holly Cho as Jubilee, Isaac Robinson-Smith as Bishop, Magneto Matthew Waterson as Magneto.
