Cartoon network Nabs Genndy Tartakovsky, a new season of "Samurai Jack" was announced.

Genndy Tartakovsky makes a new season of his respected TV series Samurai Jack for adult swimming. This morning's announcement by the network was short and up to the point:

"Adult swim is excited to announce that Jack is back. Creator and executive producer Gendi Tartakovsky continues the epic story of Samurai Jack in a new season episode that will premiere in Adult Swim's Toonami block in 2016. The new season is currently being produced at Cartoon Network Studios in Los Angeles."

What has not been said in the announcement tells us that Genndy Tartakovsky is not doing movies at Sony right now (sources say he is still officially developing in the studio, but Can You Imagine-). In an interview with Cartoon Brew on May 9, Tartakovsky alluded to his frustration with working for Sony, which oversaw the franchise for the Hotel Transylvania, saying: "I wanted people to be in a situation where they wanted to make mine, whether it's a feature or a TV.At the time, he expressed confidence about the return of Samurai Jack: "I think that time is very ripe, and I hope that something will happen soon.""
