Today's trailer offers the first glimpse of Chris Pratt's famous orange cat and Garfield's father Vic, played by Samuel L. Jackson.

Garfield's comic strip and its most memorable animated adaptation became a fan favorite for its honest, straightforward, and humorous depiction of domestic life. The trailer for the "Garfield" film chooses to go in a very different direction from the franchise, putting the character in a heist film with an estranged father subplot.
