Trailer: new season of "Avengers Assemble" focuses on Black Panther

Disney, which dominated the theatrical box office earlier this year, will bring the exploits of Black Panther to television.

The fifth season of Disney XD's animated series "Avengers Assemble" will focus solely on the Wakandan king and will air under the title "Marvel's Avengers: Black Panther's Quest"

Disney Marvel has released the following synopsis for this season:

Black Panther must decide his allegiance. As the mysterious Shadow Man takes on Wakanda, T'Challa joins forces with his sister Shuri to take on a mission no other Avenger can. As old enemies reappear and new friends are made, they travel around the world filled with espionage and mystery. Ultimately, Black Panther must strike a balance between protecting his homeland and stopping the threat before it starts. Is he a sword or a shield - only he can decide.

Black Panther's Quest premieres Sunday, September 23 at 9 p.m. on Disney XD. It will also be available on the Disneynow app.
