More than any other awards ceremony, the ASIFA-Hollywood Annie Awards draws attention to the achievements of artists in the animation industry.

Ironically, however, even as these artists gain recognition through their nominations, the work they are honored for sometimes goes unseen. This is true in the character design category, where the actual designs are rarely publicly displayed.

We find this disappointing and decided this year to spotlight the nominees for Best Character Design (TV/Media) (announced last month along with the other nominees).

With the producer's permission, we reprint the nominees exclusively. The deadline to vote for the Annie Awards is Tuesday, February 15. Winners will be announced at the 49th Annual Annie Awards, which will be held virtually on March 12.
