The first thing audiences notice about the quirky, amphibian-filled short animation “Garden Party,” a graduation project by a group of students at the French animation school MOPA, is its photorealism. [The film is the work of creators Florian Babiquian, Vincent Layou, Victor Kael, Théophile Dufrance, Gabriel Grapelon, and Lucas Navarro, who used techniques like photogrammetry and the latest CG software tools to bring an abandoned mansion and the frogs that live there to life.
