Second Annual Andreas Deja Scholarship Application

The Andreas Deja Scholarship, named after Disney animation legend and director of “Mushka,” has announced details of its second annual event.

This year's challenge, called “The Perfect Fit-,” challenges animators to create a hand-drawn animation of a character struggling to fit inside a coat or jacket, revealing that the item is too big or too small. Details of the assignment can be found in the image at the bottom of this article.

The winner of the challenge will receive a cash prize from the CTN Foundation as well as a year of mentoring on the animation project from Deja herself. There will also be a runner-up prize and a free trip to the CTNX Expo, which will be held from November 21 to 24. Deja herself will blind judge all entries. The call for entries is open until September 27. For more information on how to enter, visit the CTN Foundation website.

“I am always excited to see the amazing work being produced by the next generation of animators and am thrilled that CTN is offering this opportunity,” Andreas Deja said in a statement. [...] [...] [...] [...] [...]
