Don Hertzfeldt's “World of Tomorrow” Named Best Animated Short of 2015

In a survey of 20 international animation experts from 12 countries, Don Hertzfeldt's “World of Tomorrow” was named the best animated film of 2015. The results were announced by the Montreal-based film magazine 24 Images.

Hertzfeldt's “World of Tomorrow” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last January, where it won the Grand Jury Prize, and has since won awards at prestigious film and animation festivals including AFI Fest, Annecy, Fantoche, Ottawa, SWSW, Zagreb

In addition, of the ten films nominated for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Academy Award, animation experts chose only three: Don Hertzfeldt's “World of Tomorrow,” Claude Cloutier's “Car Face,” Constantin Bronzit's “Can't Live Without the Cosmos”.
