Wallace and Gromit's New Film “Vengeance Most Fowl,” First Trailer Released

Hard to believe that it has been 19 years since the popular British duo Wallace and Gromit last released a stop-motion feature, but Wallace and Gromit are finally back with their new film, Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl.

Netflix released a teaser trailer this morning and announced that the film will be available for worldwide streaming on January 3, 2025. The only exception is the UK, where it will premiere on BBC iPlayer and BBC One on Christmas Day.

“Vengeance Most Fowl” is directed by Nick Park, who created the character, and Merlin Crossingham, who has been with the studio for 30 years. Mark Burton (Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, Shaun the Sheep Movie, Early Man) wrote the screenplay based on stories by himself and Park.

It was previously announced that Feathers McGraw, the villainous chicken penguin who first appeared in the 1993 “W&G” short “The Wrong Trousers,” would play a central role in the new film. Film synopsis:

Gromit's concern that Wallace is too dependent on his inventions is justified when Wallace invents a “clever” gnome. When the possibility surfaces that a vengeful figure from the past is masterminding things, it falls to Gromit to fight the evil forces and save his master... Or Wallace may never be able to invent again.

Major credits announced include Matt Perry (production design), Dave Alex Lidet (cinematographer), Dan Hembury (editing), and Lorne Balfe and Julian Knott (original score).

Richard Beeke produced. Park, Burton, Sarah Cox, Peter Lord, and Carla Shelley executive produce.
