Toy Story 4 Teaser introduces Folky (updated)

Fittingly, the first Disney-Pixar release of the post-John Lasseter era is a film from which the ousted Pixar creative chief had earlier stepped aside as director, some say not entirely by his own choice.

The new teaser released today for Toy Story 4 makes clear that Pixar isn't in experimental mode here. From the re-introduction of the main cast to the traditional-looking visual sensibility, TS4 is the film equivalent of comfort food. You've eaten it a hundred times and you know exactly what it's going to taste like, but you still crave it.

Speaking of food, the teaser does offer one new addition: the character, Forky, voiced by Tony Hale (Veep, Arrested Development). Per the synopsis:

Directed by Pixar story veteran Josh Cooley (screenplay, Inside Out; director, Riley's First Date-) and produced by Jonas Rivera (Inside Out, Up) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer, Inside Out), Toy Story 4 will be released in the U.S. on June 21, 2019.

(Update, Tuesday 1pm ET): A second teaser was released today with the characters Ducky (Keegan-Michael Key) and Bunny (Jordan Peele).

Along with the new teaser, a statement revealed new details about the film:
