Jerry Seinfeld will not make a sequel to the "Bee movie", but that's not why you might think

During a Reddit AMA earlier this month, comedian Jerry Seinfeld explained why he won't make a sequel to his much-maligned 2007 Dreamworks feature Bee Movie (a film incidentally for which I was invited to write an art-of book for and turned down). Said Seinfeld:

The Tumblr fandom to which Seinfeld refers to is more ironic joke than sincere appreciation for the film's creative merits, but whatever Jerry needs to say to convince himself that he made a good film, we support his decision to not make any more animated features.
