New footage from Comic-Con 2023's "TMNT: Mutant Mayhem", "Fiona and Cake" and "Rick and Morty: Anime" stars.

San Diego Comic-Con2023 took place last weekend, with many leading studios refusing to participate in this year's event, but there was still some exciting animation news and plenty of trailers for fans to dig into.

Below we highlighted 5 of the biggest animated stories from this year's event.

Paramount screened new footage more than 8 minutes from the release of its most talked about animation feature on May 20. The full presentation is not available online, but the studio has posted the first 30 seconds, offering the most detailed look and listening in Jackie Chan's Master Sprinter.

Warner Bros. shared a trailer and announced a release date of 8/31 Adventure Time: Fiona and Cake, a more adult spin-off of the classic Cartoon Network series. The show follows Fiona the Human and Cake the Cat, who first appeared in Season 3 of the original Adventure Time.

Adult Swim shared next year's Rick and Morty animated series with the first extended look of BTS info released in May of last year. All 10 episodes were directed by Takashi Sano, who appears in the video, and produced by an animated film.

DC has announced two new animated films for a pair of its most popular graphic novels, Infinite Earth and Crisis on Watchmen. According to the company, both films are already working on and will be released in 2024. Both properties have previously been adapted for live action, but this is the first time either has acquired an animation feature.

One of Max's biggest recent animated success stories returns for the fourth season in just a few days. Warner Bros. Discovery facilitated its premiere with a new two-minute trailer during the Max Original Animation Panel.

Prime Video debuted a season 11 trailer for the highly adult superhero animated series Invincible ahead of its show's 3/2 return. Season 1 debuted in the spring of 2021 and was a huge hit, so Amazon ordered 2 more seasons before the first season aired.
