Adult Swim will share the first teaser for Genndy Tartakovsky's 'Unicorn Warriors Eternal' coming to the Moon.
Adult Swim has released the first trailer for Genndy Tartakovski's upcoming animated series Unicorn Warriors Eternal. It premiered on the network at midnight on 5/4 and will stream on HBO Max the next day. The new episode will debut weekly with Adult Swim and Toonami's Encore. This series will be rolled out around the world starting from Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa on 5/5.
The official synopsis of the show is:
Unicorn: In Warriors Eternal, an evil force looms across the dark, thick-aired streets of Industrial Revolution London when a group of heroes called Unicorns are accidentally awakened in the bodies of teenagers rather than the adult hosts embodied in the past. Melinda, the powerful sorcerer, Sen, the monk of the universe, and Edred, the warrior Elf. With distorted memories and their magical abilities weakened and fragmented, the trio must work together with help from their steam-driven robots, Copernicus, to unravel the mysteries of their past and present, revealing their path to defeat a timeless threat.
Unicorn Warriors Eternal was produced by Cartoon Network Studios and was the subject of an ongoing session to attract attention at Annecy 2022.
The show was created and directed by Tartakovsky. Character design was done by Stephen DeStefano, music by Tyler Bates and Joanne Higginbottom, and sound effect design by Joel Valentine. All these artists worked together in the Emmy-winning series Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal. The cast of Unicorn Warriors Eternal's Voice is led by Hazel Dupe, Tom Milligan and Demari Hunte.
In the release, Tartakovsky explained:
This show was created in my early days at Cartoon Network Studios more than 20 years ago. Every project we worked on - Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack, Sym-Bionic Titan - was like a training ground to get ready for this series. It took me all that time to finally be able to work on a show like Unicorn: Warriors Eternal.
Originally, Unicorn Warriors Eternal was scheduled for Cartoon Network and HBO Max, but given the ever-evolving nature of Hbo Max's animated line-up and the adult-heavy fan base of tartakovski's work, the home change to adult Swim isn't surprising.
