Adult Swim has severed ties with Justin Roiland, but will continue to produce "Rick And Morty."

Warner Bros.Discovery's unit, Adult Swim, announced earlier this month that it had severed ties with Rick & Morty co-creator and star Justin Roiland after news reports that Roiland was charged with felony domestic violence in 2020.

The network further added that "Rick and Morty will continue" and that "The crew is working hard in Season 7."Roiland's voice role is expected to be recast.

If Rick and Morty's production continues as originally planned, more episodes of the show will be produced without Roiland's involvement. This is because Roiland and co–creator Dan Harmon signed an unprecedented 70–episode update in 2018, with only 30 episodes of that order completed and aired to date.

The Walt Disney Company, which produces the other 2 Roiland shows - Solar Opposites and Koala Man - has not commented since the accusations against Roiland came to light. We have not acted in public or in public.

Royland is charged with felony counts of household battery with bodily injury and felony counts of false imprisonment by threat, violence, fraud, and/or deception. The alleged incident occurred in 2020/1 against an unnamed Jane Doe whom Royland was dating at the time, and it is alleged that Royland "intentionally and unlawfully inflicts physical injury and is in a traumatic state."

Royland's lawyers claim that his client is innocent. Roiland is scheduled to return to court for another hearing at 4.27 AM. If convicted, he faces multiple years in prison.
