After a 3-year hiatus, BAFTA's Children & Young People Awards are back on the nominee list.

BAFTA has announced nominations for the 2022 Children & Young People Awards, but this edition has a twist. Works that were originally released in the UK between 2019/7/1 and 2022/6/30 will be eligible for this year. It has created several interesting lineups of candidates of certain categories.

For example, in the feature film category, 2019 BAFTA winner Klaus is against 2020's Over the Moon and 2021's BAFTA nominee The Mitchell Vs. Machine and Wolf Walker. Three years after winning BAFTA for best animation feature, it would be a very feat if Netflix's now multi-year family favorite Klaus added Kids & Youth BAFTA to its trophy shelf.

This year's Children & Young People Awards will be held at Old Billingsgate, London, on Sunday 11/27 and will be hosted by TV and radio presenter Lindsey Russell.
