The free "Unicorn Wars" video game released today, kill the Unicorn with righteous fury by surprise.
Unico, the producer of Alberto Vázquez's Unicorn Wars, overshadowed the free video game accompaniment to the film on Android and PC.
Unicorn Wars The film may not be a hit in North American theaters until early next year, but those who want to dive into the world created by Vazquez (Birdboy: The Forgotten Children) can now do it on their phones and PCs.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Uniko announced the game and said: Tomorrow we will premiere the Unicorn Wars video game.
Get your favorite weapon and eliminate those damn unicorns from the earth. It all depends on you, little bear.
It will be available on Android and PC completely free. Do you feel like killing a unicorn.
Unicorn Wars is a 2d side-scroller where you can play as a cute little bear soldier who wanders the enchanted forest killing unicorns in a religious war. The game features a semi-procedural phase that makes each playthrough a unique experience. The user must collect 5 medals on each map to unlock the next part of the story.
The art style of the game closely matches the art style of the movie, with lots of neon pink, green and yellow coloring the forest background running red with unicorn blood. Produced by DEP Games and directed by Camilo López Rey along with Diego Vázquez and Antón Blanco, it adapted Vázquez's work to the video game format.
"It has always been clear that both the art style and animation fit perfectly into a certain type of game," Iván Miñambres, Unicorn Wars producer, told Cartoon Brew.
For now, the game is only available on the Google Store, but over the next few weeks, it will also be released on the Apple Store and in several other languages: English, French, Ba
North American Rights to Unicorn Wars The film was picked up by GKIDS last month. The feature will be released in Spain on 10/21 and then in the US and Canada in early 2023. He has appeared in Annecy and Ottawa, and is currently appearing at the Sitges Film Festival. It will be screened at Animation is Film in Los Angeles on March 23, hosted by Annecy, GKIDS and Variety, and Vázquez will host audience Q&A.
