UK's "Gumball" Team to Produce New Cartoon Network Series "Elliott from Earth"

Cartoon Network has decided to produce a new film: Elliott from Earth is being produced by the same UK-based team behind The Amazing World of Gumball.

Created by Guillaume Cassuto, writer and composition supervisor of "Gumball," "Elliott from Earth" is a sci-fi sitcom featuring Elliott, a human boy who ends up living on a spaceship, where aliens from space (and of course It features many aliens from outer space (and dinosaurs, of course). The station describes the show as a funny and heartwarming show about "finding your place in the world."

Twenty 11-minute episodes have been ordered. Production is slated to begin in September 2018 from the station's EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) hub in London. The show will feature many of the same staff from The Amazing World of Gumball, including writers, storyboard artists, and editors who worked on the previous series in London. [Creator Guillaume Cassiutto said, "Elliot's story has been in the back of my mind for a long time, and having worked in different roles on 'Gumball' has given me a unique perspective on how to bring a project like this to life. I can't hide my excitement at having the chance to introduce Elliott to the world and I am so proud to be a part of this with this amazing team. We hope that children and animation fans around the world will love Elliot as much as we do."
