First Look: "Hotel Transylvania" series to premiere in June

The previously announced "Hotel Transylvania: The Series" premieres June 25 on the Disney Channel, with new episodes airing nightly at 8 p.m. ET/PT through Thursday, June 29.

Sony Pictures Animation released a short teaser for the series this morning:

Produced by Corus Entertainment's Nelvana in Toronto, Canada, the 26 x 22-minute series stars Dracula's daughter Mavis and her friends (Hank N. Stein, Pedro, and Wendy Blob). Official Synopsis:

While Dracula is away on "official vampire business," Mavis finally gets a chance to show her father her powers. With the help of her friends, she decides to put her brilliant idea for running a hotel into action, but Dracula's sister, the mean-spirited Aunt Lydia, makes an appearance. While Mavis and her friends try to have freewheeling fun, Aunt Lydia tries to further enforce order and tradition in the hotel.

Beginning Sunday, June 4, the Disney Channel will release three new shorts on its Youtube account and the Disney Channel App to build anticipation for the series. These shorts depict Mavis and her father Drac as they prepare to join the Vampire Council. We are excited to partner with Disney Channel to share the visual and epic storytelling of [Hotel Transylvania: The Series] with audiences around the world. We are excited to work with our partners at Sony Pictures Animation to build on the franchise's tremendous worldwide success and bring the world of Hotel Transylvania to the small screen and family-friendly digital platforms."

Genndy Tartakovsky is currently directing the third feature film in the Hotel Transylvania series, scheduled for release in 2018.
