Film "Tangled: The Series

The first trailer for the Disney television series Tangled, announced in 2015, has finally arrived.

The show will launch in March on the Disney Channel with the TV movie Tangled: Before Ever After and then transition to a regular half-hour series. including Gravity Falls and Futurama. It was developed by veteran animator Chris Sonnenberg and Shane Prigmore, character designer for "The Boxtrolls," "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" and "Mr. Peabody & Sherman. Sonnenberg served as both executive producer and director, while Prigmore served as executive producer and creative director.

The events of the show take place between the 2010 theatrical feature and the 2012 short Tangled Ever After, which centers on the wedding of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. In the series, however, Rapunzel puts that marriage and her ascension to the crown on hold and continues her adventures with her chameleon sidekick Pascal and her steed Maximus. Among the new characters is Cassandra, "a tough servant who becomes Rapunzel's confidant."

Toon Boom Harmony was produced at Mercury Filmworks in Ottawa. Jace Rich (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) provided story editing and Kevin Kriesch (Tangled Ever After) provided music.
