'Archer,' 'Robot Chicken,' and Seth MacFarlane Win Emmy Awards for Creative Arts

Adult-oriented animation dominated the animation categories at the 2016 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, held in Los Angeles on two consecutive nights on September 10 and 11.

The two major animation awards, Best Animated Program and Best Animated Short Program, went to "Archer" and "Robot Chicken," respectively; Seth MacFarlane, creator of "Family Guy," won for the second time since 2000, when he first won an Emmy for voice acting.

"Robot Chicken" was presented with the award.

Animation also showed up in other categories, including Original Interactive Program, where the Oculus Rift short "Henry" was honored, and the User Experience and Visual Design category, where Cartoon Network's app was recognized.
