Cartoon Network to Develop Interactive Property "Mighty Magiswords" as a TV Series

Cartoon Network will expand its cross-platform project "Mighty Magiswords" with the launch of a linear series on Thursday, September 29 at 6:30 PM ET/PT. [OK K.O.! represents the network's attempt to attract younger viewers with a fully interactive, multi-platform IP rather than a traditional linear broadcast IP. Mighty Magiswords is tailored to the way today's young audiences consume media," said Rob Socher, Chief Content Officer of Cartoon Network.

"We're excited to be working with Cartoon Network," said Rob Socher, chief content officer of Cartoon Network, "to bring Mighty Magiswords to the youngest audiences in the world.

Produced by Kyle A. Carozza ("The Moustache Pirate," "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water"), "Mighty Magisodes" features the brothers' "warriors for hire," Prohyas and VanBure, flying, throwing tomatoes and spitting seeds, other fantastic feats, and complete quests with their collection of magisodes.

According to CN, the series is just one part of the broader Magiswords universe, which includes more than 400 original content pieces, including interactive short stories, warrior-hosted story blogs, and digital games. A new interactive app to be released this fall will connect all of the content and allow users to "view and collect Magiswords in a fully participatory ecosystem."

A special sneak peek episode of Mighty Magiswords will debut this Friday on the Cartoon Network app.
