2016 Emmy nominations: animation categories only, please!

Nominations were announced today for the 68th annual Emmy Awards, presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. [7 of the 10 shows nominated in 2015 are nominated again this year. In the animated program category, the only newcomer is "Phineas and Ferb: The Last Day of Summer," joining re-nominees "Archer," "Bob's Burgers," "The Simpsons" and "South Park."

Cartoon Network is dominating the other major category, Animated Short Programs, with four of its five nominations: "Adventure Time," "Powerpuff Girls," "Robot Chicken" and "Steven Universe. SpongeBob SquarePants is the only non-CN nominee.

The full list of nominees in the animation-related categories is as follows. Also in the non-animated categories are Honda's "Paper" commercial (directed by PES) in the commercial category and the ABC Television special "It's Your 50th Christmas, Charlie Brown!" in the children's programming category.
