Award-winning Films "Agua Viva" and "Weekends" to be Online at Shortlist Film Festival

The Wrap has launched its seventh annual Shortlist Film Festival. The festival will feature 12 professional shorts and eight student shorts online for a limited time.

Most of the shorts are live action, but there is a mix of animation as well, providing an opportunity to see all of this year's hottest short films in one place. Of particular note are Alexa Lim Haas' "Agua Viva," which won the Grand Jury Prize for Animated Short Film at SXSW, and Trevor Jimenez' "Weekends," which won the Nashville Film Festival, Annecy Film Festival, Warsaw Film Festival, and three Academy Award nominations! (Stay tuned to Cartoon Brew for a video interview with Jimenez about his new film.) [Charlie Tyrell's "My Dead Dad's Porno Tapes" (SXSW Best Short Documentary), Emily Ann Hoffman's "Nevada" (Edinburgh International Film Festival Best Short Film), and Randall Christopher's "The Driver is Red" won nearly 20 awards on the festival circuit.

Some of the films are listed below, and you can see all of them on the Shortlist Festival website for the next two weeks.
