"Star Wars Resistance" Trailer: Disney will premiere a new CG series on 10/7.

The Disney Channel has announced that it will premiere "Star Wars Resistance" on 10/7 at 10pm.

Star Wars Rebels EP/Star Wars: The Clone Wars Created by director Dave Filoni, the "Anime-inspired" series centers on Kazuda Xiono (Days of Our Lives' Christopher Sean), a young resistance pilot assigned to spy on the expansion of the threat to the galaxy of the First Order. The event of the show will take place before the event of Force Awakens. Oscar Isaac and Gwendolyn Christie will reprise their roles as Poe and Captain Phasma respectively.

"The Star Wars Resistance idea came out of my interest in World War II aircraft and fighter pilots. My grandfather was a pilot, and my uncle flew the plane and restored it, so it has had a huge impact on me. Star Wars has a long history of high-speed racing, and I think we've captured that excitement in an anime-style style.

Other members of the Voice cast include Donald Faison, Jim Rush, Bobby Moynihan, Mirna Velasco and Rachel Butera.

Lucasfilm Animation produced the series. Athena Portillo, Justin Ridge and Brandon Orman are executive producers. Amy Beth Christenson is an art director.

The show will also be available on Disneyland and Disney Channel VOD, and will then air on Disney XD.
