2020 Emmy Jury Award Winner: 'Primal' Spears Wins Three Individual Categories

The Television Academy has announced the winners of the Jury Awards in the Animation, Interactive Media, and Motion Design categories for the 72nd Annual Emmy Awards. Each award will be presented at the 2020 Creative Arts Awards ceremony, which will be streamed on Emmys.com on Thursday, September 17.

In the individual awards in the animation category, three of the five winners were artists who contributed to the first season of Adult Swim's unscripted limited series Primal. Among the winners was Primal creator Genndy Tartakovsky, who storyboarded the series and won his fourth Emmy. The other winners were art director Scott Wills (his third Emmy) and character designer Stephen DeStefano (his first).

The jury's winners, including Interactive Media and Motion Design, are listed below. As a result, no nominations will be made and a single level of evaluation and voting will take place. Deliberations will include an open discussion of each entrant's work and a thorough examination of the merits of their Emmy Award-winning work.
