Disney+ Chief Architect Kevin Mayer Named New CEO of Tiktok

In a sign of the shifting balance of influence in media and culture, Tiktok has hired a key Disney executive as its new CEO.

Kevin Mayer, 58, formerly chairman of the direct-to-consumer and international division at The Walt Disney Company, will drive Tiktok's ambitions as a mainstream media company.
