Annie Awards Opens for Submissions for 49th

ASIFA-Hollywood has announced the call for entries for the 49th Annual Annie Awards, to be held on February 26, 2022. Following last year's virtual awards ceremony, the awards will be presented in person at UCLA's Royce Hall.

Awards will be given across 36 categories, five of which will be selected by a jury, as was the case last year. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, November 16, at 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. For more information, visit the ASIFA-Hollywood member portal.

For this year's competition, the rules have been changed regarding the definition of a series episode, how many people can enter as a team, and the composition of the submitted clips. For all rule changes, see.

Industry professionals interested in serving on this year's nominating committee (the jury that selects the nominees) must apply by September 21. Those who have served on a jury in the past must also complete an application.

Nominations and jury awards will be announced on December 21. Non-judged category winners will be selected by ASIFA-Hollywood members who meet the voting criteria.

Last year, Pixar's "Soul" and Cartoon Saloon's "Wolfwalkers" shared the feature award at Annies; Silvergate Media's "Hilda," produced for Netflix, won the most awards among series.
