New Studio Project by "Jujitsu Kaisen" Author Park Seong-hoo to Lead Disney's Animation Production

At Disney's annual content showcase in Singapore, the company announced upcoming animated films and an expanded partnership with longtime collaborator Kodansha of Japan.

The first title announced through the expanded partnership with Kodansha is the second season of Tokyo Revengers, subtitled Tokyo Revengers: The Christmas Showdown Edition. The new season will launch next January on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar.

During the presentation, Disney also revealed that the total number of hours of locally produced Asian content available on Disney+ has increased eightfold compared to this time last year. As the popularity of animation continues to grow worldwide, the company's focus is clear.
