Amazing animator reel for Netflix's “Green Eggs and Ham”.

Expectations were high for Warner Bros. Animation's “Green Eggs and Ham,” which premiered on Netflix on November 8. The series' blurb promised “cinema-quality hand-drawn 2D animation,” a bold claim for a series, and it turned out to be largely true.

The character animation in this series is more than we would expect from an American-produced animated television series. Characters do not just move around the screen; their actions and emotions are often specific to the needs of a particular moment in the story. This type of direction is rare in animated television, and is only possible when highly skilled animators are involved and there is a production schedule that allows for the development of this type of direction, which is no exaggeration.
