Trailer: 'The Shivering Truth,' Adult Swim's Comedy Horror Anthology, Premieres Dec. 9

Adult Swim is not playing around with its latest series, The Shivering Truth. From the new trailer released this week, it looks like a veritable creepfest.

The stop-motion anthology will debut on December 9 at midnight. The network describes it this way:

"The Shivering Truth is a delicately crafted surreal anthology comedy, a miniature and propulsive omnibus clusterfest of painfully noisy nightmares dripping with the orange goo of dream logic. Crawling out from the deep caverns of the unconscious and lovingly animated in breathtaking stop-motion, it is a series of loosely linked emotional parables about stories within stories.

The series was created and written by Vernon Chatman (co-creator of Wonder Shozen and Xavier: Renegade Angel). He also directed the film with Kat Soren.

Shivering Truth is executive produced by Soren and PFFR (a Brooklyn-based creative collective founded by Chatman with John Lee, Allison Levy, and Jim Tozzi). The animation studio is Shadowmachine, the studio behind Bojack Horseman.

The series pilot, which is available in select regions, features the voices of Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, and Starry Cain.
